Siemens makes a start on £20m Goole bogie centre
Caddick has started to build the 145,000 sq ft assembly and service centre, which was designed by AHR Architects and will form part of Goole Rail Village.
Located on 3.7-acres of land next to the Goole train manufacturing facility, work is set to complete next spring and will include car parking and infrastructure.
The bogie service centre will be used for the assembly and refurbishment of rail components, as well as new-build bogies, and wheelsets to supply international rail networks.
Caddick is also currently on site at Schneider Electrical’s £42m 178,000 sq ft manufacturing plant in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, which will add the the UK’s green energy efforts.
