Sheffield’s largest beer hall to open in Heart of the City

Spanning two floors, the 4,500 sq ft Kapital will be located in Elshaw House, the office building on Wellington and Carver streets.

Construction and fit-out is underway and the venue is expected to open early in the new year.

The European inspired venue will aim to mimic the beer halls of Munich, Prague, and Belgium, and will offer the largest selection of beer available in the city.

Owned by Sheffield-based Two Thirds Beer, four stainless steel beer tanks will be filled with fresh, unpasteurised Budvar Czech lager, imported directly from South Bohemia every week. An outdoor beer garden will also be created.

Kapital co-founder, Ben Stubbs, said: “This prime location, right in the midst of our city’s vibrant transformation, is the perfect setting for an independent, Sheffield business like ours to invest significantly in establishing our showcase venue.”
