Severfield takes 80,000 sq ft at Malton Enterprise Park
The modular solutions division of the structural steelworks group will relocate to a speculatively-built warehouse at the North Yorkshire estate early next year.
Developed and operated by Harrison Developments, the business park is located next to the A64 York-Scarborough Road.
The team advising Harrison included property consultants Savills, construction consultants Rex Procter, lawyers Schofield Sweeney, 2H Architecture, and business advisor Tim Wilde of BSH consulting.
The York-headquartered company is relocating from its current site in Sherburn, and has been involved in high-profile projects such as Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, The Shard, and 22 Bishopsgate.
Overall, occupiers have now taken a total of 250,000 sq ft at the Malton employment park.
Sean Harrison, founder and managing director of Harrison Developments, said: “We were first approached by North Yorkshire Council’s economic development team in November last year.
“It was clear that the modular solutions division of Severfield might have to leave the county if suitable premises couldn’t be found for its expansion.
“We had prime land available on our park and so we were able to help. Geographically and financially, this was a perfect solution for Severfield.
“So, a planning application was submitted to the council in the early part of 2025 and, thanks to a diligent and professional approach from everyone involved, permission was granted in June…
“We have more than 30 acres available which will create more employment and we plan an ecological environment in a large part of the site, which occupiers and their employees can enjoy in their business environment. It will encompass river walks and seating along the River Derwent.”
