Refurbishment completes at Humber Enterprise Park

With all office accommodation fully let at the 79-acre business estate, attention can turn to the I&L space available on the site, which includes a recently renovated 167,500 sq ft unit and a 63,000 sq ft warehouse that is about to undergo its own revamp.

The Yorkshire industrial property and logistics team of Knight Frank has been appointed by landlords Citivale and Westcore to market the newly vacant space, alongside Hull-based agency PHH Commercial.

Located in Brough on the outskirts of Hull, Humber Enterprise Park sits on the banks of the River Humber and was once BAE System’s Brough facility.

While the defence giant still has a strong presence at the site, owner Westcore invested significantly following a sale and part leaseback that ended BAE’s exclusivity there..

Other occupiers on site include Cablescan, Dearing Plastics, Morson Praxis, Europa Crown, Purex, and Cranswick PLC.

Iain McPhail, partner in Knight Frank’s industrial property team, said: “This is a significant appointment for us, and we are delighted to be marketing two high-quality warehouse and manufacturing buildings at one of the region’s most successful employment parks.

“We have two units available on the estate, one of 167,500 sq ft which has just been refurbished and the other of 63,000 sq ft, whereby the refurbishment programme is due to commence imminently.

“The combination of the size and spec of these units, the reputation of the Humber Enterprise Park and its location, close to the M62, M18 and the Humber ports, makes them extremely attractive propositions for occupiers.

“The 167,500 sq ft building is a single storey steel frame unit originally built as a purpose-built manufacturing facility for BAE.

“The property has most recently been utilised as a storage and distribution facility and has seen a number of small extensions to create additional offices and ancillary staff welfare.

Meanwhile the 63,000 sq ft unit provides a single-storey two bay steel frame warehouse/manufacturing unit, which benefits from existing fit-out and a secure yard and parking area.”

Paul Brustad, Citivale’s asset manager at Humber Enterprise Park, commented: “With Knight Frank’s coverage in the industrial and logistics sector throughout Yorkshire, as well as their national presence, we are pleased to appoint them as letting agents on our Humber Enterprise
Park scheme.

“With these two units currently available, the regional market knowledge and expertise of Knight Frank will be welcomed to compliment that of our other joint letting agents PPH Commercial.”
