Premier Modular secures place on £1bn framework

The East Yorkshire off-site construction firm is one of three that have secured a place across all parts of the NHS’ modular building framework.

The four-year framework is intended to speed up the sustainable delivery of facilities for healthcare, housing, education, and wider public-sector use.

NHS Commercial Solutions  structured the framework into three lots: lot 1 covers consultancy services, early-stage planning, and design support, with around £150m of funds allocated.

Lot 2 covers modular and prefabricated building services for the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of facilities, with around £600m set against that.

And finally, lot 3 is for managed services that provide ongoing operational support for completed buildings, with approximately £300m allocated.

David Harris, chief executive of Premier Modular, said: “Our inclusion in this strategic framework underscores our strong track record of providing solutions that hit the innovation, sustainability and technical requirements that this sector demands.

“We are proud to support the NHS, central government departments, local authorities, and educational bodies in accelerating the delivery of essential infrastructure through modern methods of constructions.

“This framework presents another opportunity for us to collaborate and contribute meaningfully to the entire lifecycle of future public sector programmes across the UK, with both temporary and permanent solutions.”
