Plans submitted for Greetland site

Following public consultation back in February, Keyland has now applied to Calderdale Council for a 230-home development on land to the south of Saddleworth Road.

Little looks to have changed from the original masterplan for the Ellistones Gate site, which will include blue and green infrastructure and public open space.

The property arm of Kelda Group and sister company to Yorkshire Water, the developer is looking to build mixed-tenure homes on the site, which has already been allocated for housing in the local plan.

Michael Powell, land and planning manager at Keyland, commented: “We’re proud to submit an outline planning application that creates a real opportunity for us to implement our Six Capitals philosophy, with the aim of bringing
forward a residential scheme that will diversify the local housing market and accelerate the delivery of much-needed new homes.”
