Plans in for Leeds padel court
The latest venue set to jump on the popular sport’s bandwagon will be located on Cross Green Industrial Estate, to the south east of the city centre.
Bowman Riley has submitted the plans on behalf of Optimum Padel, a newly registered Doncaster-based company.
Unit 4 was previously a storage and distribution centre, which has been vacant since October.
The open-plan 30,000 sq ft unit is surrounded by commercial and industrial buildings, including indoor and outdoor sports venue Football World.
Plans for the venue state that no changes will be made externally, and the former service yard will be turned into a 36-space car park.
Inside, eight padel courts will be created, alongside toilet and changing facilities, a small office, a café, and a staff room.
This will be the third indoor padel venue in Leeds, following Slazenger Padel Club and Chapel Allerton Lawn Tennis Club.
