Plans in for 108 Hornsea homes
Developer Foxglove Homes has lodged plans for a 10-acre estate with East Riding Council, on land west of Rolston Road.
Designed by Sangwin Architects and supported by planning consultant Johnson Mowat, plans also include the demolition of a house that sits on the arable land.
Hornsea is a coastal town, 15 miles north east of Hull. This site is directly south of Hornsea Freeport Outlet Shopping Village.
Of the 108 homes, the proposal as it stands is for 10 to be affordable, with these made up of eight one-bed and two two-bed homes.
The remaining market value homes will be split between two- to four-bedroom houses and bungalows.
All of the homes will have air source heat pumps and solar panels, as well as EV charging points.
As for the landscape, planning documents note there are only a few trees on the site, which is mainly surrounded by hedgerow, and Foss Beck, a watercourse, flows through the eastern part of the plot.
