Manchester’s AO Arena will become the new home of Place Party on 1 October when the enlarged venue hosts the property community extravaganza for the first time.
After many years at Kimpton Clocktower, formerly The Principal Hotel, the event will enjoy the extra space at the arena, which underwent a £50m redevelopment in 2024.
“It feels like the right time to shake things up,” explained Paul Unger, publisher of Place Media Group. “We are excited at the prospect of growing the event at the arena and allowing even more room for mingling.”
Guests can expect the familiar high standard of entertainment with live music and a dancefloor alongside excellent food and drink.
The unique format of Place Party – no awards, no long speeches, no uptight dress code – allows guests to maximise networking time without stopping for formalities.
AO Arena is the perfect venue for the high-octane Place event, with its latest major programme of works increasing capacity not only for large music concerts but also dedicated dinners on the arena ‘standing floor’.
The space will be needed as well, as this year’s event is a Northern affair as we look to bring together the property industries of the North West, Yorkshire, and North East.
