North Yorkshire approves 80 Selby homes

Persimmon will build the one- to four- bed properties in the Brayton area, on land approved for housing in the local plan.

Located off Evergreen Way, the plans received unanimous approval at the council’s recent planning meeting.

The development also has space included for three self-build plots.

Seventeen of the homes will be affordable, and operated by a housing provider who will deliver them as a mix of shared ownership and affordable rent.

An area of public open space and an on-site children’s play area will be at the centre of the development.
