Next steps for NHS site in East Yorkshire
Plans to redevelop a healthcare site in Willerby Hill are to go on public display as Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust prepares to submit a planning application.
The proposals form part of the Trust’s long-term Adult Mental Health Inpatient Redevelopment Programme, which is considering options for the modernisation of mental health inpatient facilities across Hull and East Yorkshire.
The project team for phase 1 and the wider masterplan for the Willerby Hill site includes Gilling Dod Architects, engineers Alan Wood & Partners, MEP engineers SI Sealy, and planning consultant WSP.
Plans being presented include proposals for the redevelopment of the site, future building phases, access arrangements, parking, landscaping and supporting infrastructure.
The Trust has stressed that the consultation relates to the redevelopment of the site, rather than proposed changes to mental health services, with services operating throughout the planning process and future construction programme.
Any future proposals to relocate services would be considered separately through the NHS’s formal service change process, including public engagement and consultation where required.
A drop-in public consultation event will be held on 24 Augustmfrom 3pm to 7pm at the Trust’s Lecture Theatre in Willerby, HU10 6FE.
