Newitt resi plans for factory site

Plans have been submitted for the demolition of a gatehouse and construction of up to 71 homes on former industrial land at Monkhill Lane in Pontefract.

Hatton Garden Properties is also involved in the project.

The four-acre site has been vacant since 2014, with the southern half cleared of buildings and the northern half comprising a car park and overgrown land.

Proposals are for one- to four-bed homes ranging from two- to three-storeys, with detached, semi-detached and terrace designs, all with dedicated off-street parking.

Located around one mile from Pontefract and less than three miles from the A1(M) and the M62, the site is also within a 400m radius of a primary school and Pontefract Railway Station.
