New operator for two Sheffield venues

The grade two-listed, 11,000 sq ft Sheffield City Hall and the 38,000 sq ft Utilita Arena are now managed by ASM Global.

The operator will now work alongside Sheffield City Council to fund improvement works on both venues.

Sheffield City Hall will have an improved F&B offering, while Utilita’s refurbishment works will begin in this month.

Improvements will include upgraded concourses with faster service points, including an automated self-serve drinks bar, supersuite spaces, lounges, and a refurbished arena club.

The venue’s capacity will also increase.

Chris Bray, president of ASM Global Europe said: “We’re looking forward to working with the teams to elevate the guest experience and future proof both venues for years to come.

“Our ambition is to reimagine the venues, delivering world-class live entertainment in Sheffield.”

Cllr Tom Hunt, Leader of Sheffield City Council, said: “We have big ambitions to develop Sheffield’s events offer even further and our new partnership with ASM Global will ensure our city continues to have fantastic venues for the best events.”
