Miller plans Kirby Hill homes

The housebuilder has submitted plans to North Yorkshire Council for 167 houses on the edge of the village.

Supported by Parker Peel Architectural and Spawforths, the site is located on land east of Leeming Lane, near Langthorpe and Boroughbridge.

The wider project team includes Mosodi, Weetwood, Smeeden Foreman, Brooks Ecological, and Roberts Environmental.

Roughly equidistant from Ripon and Harrogate, Kirby Hill is rural and the new settlement has been designed to serve as a new gateway into the village.

The housing mix will provide around 40% affordable housing, with a mix of two- to four-bed houses and the opportunity for bungalows.

A primary loop road providing vehicular access and movement around the site, and as well as the housing there will be a mix of play and recreation spaces.
