Lichfields probes Doncaster housing
The planning consultant has submitted a screening opinion for around 300 homes on land between Thorne and Moorends.
Applying on behalf of the Parkinson family, the request seeks to ascertain whether an environmental impact assessment is necessary for plans to progress on the site.
Measuring around 87 acres, the land is bound by Bloomhill Road and residential properties to the north, Marshland Road and a mix of fields and houses to the east, more resi development to the south, and the Doncaster-Hull railway to the west.
As for the future development, at the moment it appears plans are for around 300 homes with a maximum of 2.5 storeys, as well as community space, public open space and a playground, pedestrian paths, and access points from Marshland Road.
