Latimer submits latest Kirkstall Road plans
Plot six of the 1,600-home Dyecoats site in Leeds will comprise 217 apartments split over two buildings, all of which will be delivered as social rented accommodation and operated by Clarion Housing Association.
Latimer broke ground on the £100m development in April, with groundworks carried out by contractor Graham.
The project team includes architect Broadway Malyan, consultant Lichfields, landscaping by Planit, BNG advice from Thomson Ecological, environmental assessments by GIA, and engineering support from Curtins.
This submission is the first detailed matters plan for the development, and shows the two residential buildings connected by a single-storey link building.
A semi-private courtyard garden will sit between them, and the ground floor will have around 6,000 sq ft of commercial space to create an active frontage.
The apartments will be made up of 62 one-bedroom, 120 two-bedroom, and 35 three-bedrooms. Lobbies, parcel rooms, refuse storage areas, cycle stores, a housing management office, and plant areas will be located on the ground floor of each building.
The wider development will also include a food hall, high-quality public realm with access to the River Aire, children’s play areas, and a newly installed bridge across the river, connecting through to Otter Island.
