Latest Forge Island signing
Sygnature Dish is set to open in spring at the Muse-created leisure destination in Rotherham.
The steak and seafood restaurant is taking 2,500 sq ft,
A 12-week fit-out commenced back in February, carried out by The Tailored Kollektiv.
Sygnature Dish will join current tenants Arc Cinema, Travelodge, and Vetro Lounge.
The £47m leisure destination was delivered by Bowmer + Kirkland for Muse and the council, and opened last summer.
Restaurant owners, brother and sister duo Dalu and Sibbs Sikhosana, have more than 30 years’ hospitality and catering experience between them and have lived in Rotherham for 20 years.
They also own the Sub Sahara African Food Shop on Effingham Street in the town centre and said it was Forge Island’s potential that attracted them to the site.
Cllr Chris Read, leader of Rotherham Council, said: “It’s fantastic that one of our existing businesses in the town centre wants to expand…
“Following the recent announcement of Vetro Lounge, it’s exciting to keep the momentum going.
“We’re continuing to drive forward our vision for a revitalised Rotherham, and Sygnature Dish is a fantastic addition to this journey.”
