Lanpro doubles York footprint

The planning consultancy has moved from the ground floor up to a penthouse suite in the Chocolate Works on Bishopthorpe Road.

Lanpro has relocated within Stanley Harrison House at the office block to accommodate its growing number of staff, which in four years has expanded from a one-man band into a team of 22 people.

The new office will have dedicated meeting rooms and a boardroom, and sustainability features include air source heat pumps and solar powered heated water.

The grade two-listed former Terry’s Chocolate Factory was developed by HBD as part of its wider Chocolate Works scheme, a decade-long project that included the restoration of the former factory into commercial space and recently saw the Clock Tower transformed into apartments.

Antony Duthie, development director of Lanpro, said: “It’s great to be able to grow our presence in York while staying in such a characterful and historically rich setting.

“The Chocolate Works is a landmark of reinvention, and our new penthouse suite gives us the space to keep expanding while reflecting the quality and environmental standards we bring to our projects.”
