Keyland brings in Boothman

The property trading arm of Kelda has called on sister company Yorkshire Water to recruit Joe Boothman as its new land and development manager.

Boothman was a lead surveyor in Yorkshire Water’s land and property Team, and  initially joined Keyland on secondment to cover maternity leave this January.

In the new role, he will work closely with Yorkshire Water to identify and promote development opportunities within its portfolio, looking at traditional developments as well as emerging renewable energy opportunities.

This will be done alongside a focus on further growing Keyland’s planning promotional agreements stream, where the firm works with private and public sector landowners to maximise the development potential of sites in a de-risked way.

In his six years with Yorkshire Water, Boothman gained specialist knowledge on utilities and specifically telecoms.

Luke Axe, land & planning director at Keyland Developments, said: “Joe has become a valued member of the Keyland team during his recent secondment. His appointment aligns with our growth strategy and his sector specific expertise is a great addition to our collective skillset.”
