IMA acquires The Malthouse in Leeds

The creative agency has gone from tenant to owner, purchasing the former brewery in the South Bank for £4m from Leaseco 23.

Leaseco 23 went into administration in December last year, and the sale of its assets is being handled by administrators Interpath.

Cushman & Wakefield acted for the seller and Avison Young advised IMA.

Located in one of the city’s most prominent regeneration zones, the historic building provides 24,376 sq ft of office space.

The Malthouse is close to Leeds Dock, which has grown to become a hub for companies in the media, technology, and creative industries.

IMA has been based at the Malthouse since 2020, after moving from their location in Headingley, where the company was based for 30 years.
