Identity Consult launches development arm
The York-based consultancy company is looking to support Yorkshire’s housebuilders with the shortage of homes in the region.
IC Development will be headed by Russell Gallagher, associate director of IC and part of the company for almost four years, and newly appointed Clive Durkin, who prior to joining the company spent almost 15 years at Calico Group and Calico Homes.
The York-based company advises clients on development appraisals, accessing funding, securing land-led opportunities, and support after project completion.
Durkin said: “In my career I have worked with housing associations and developers, delivering successful housing projects. I’m excited to transfer those skills to this new role.”
Gallagher added: “The housing shortage is a longstanding and growing issue for Yorkshire and beyond; we aim to address bottlenecks in the development process with this service.”
Andrew Booth of A&D Asset Release, which works alongside IC, said: “The Government’s policy to deliver growth through the delivery of new housing provides the most supportive environment in a generation to deliver new homes.
“It is clear that the public sector will be pivotal in delivering high quality homes in the right places for those most in need.”
