Hull to host construction demonstration day

The event will take place at the Hull Training and Adult Education centre on 20 August, with prospective apprentices, employers, and industry partners invited to participate.

The day will focus on sustainable building methods and emerging construction technologies, and will feature live demonstrations of said equipment and solar power products.

Held in partnership with buildings manufacturer weinerberger UK & Ireland and with support from Hobson & Porter, the event forms part of HTAE’s commitment to ensuring learners gain industry-relevant experience and exposure to current construction practices.

The event will take place on Thursday 20 August from 1-3pm at The Construction Centre on Nursery Grove off Portobello Street, HU9 5XT.

Cllr Linda Tock, portfolio holder for Hull Training at Hull City Council, said: “Events like this help to demonstrate the wide range of services which HTAE provides, including how they are supporting industries to adapt to modern methods and focused on sectors vital to our city.

“It’s a great opportunity for prospective apprentices to learn more about the industry, whilst also helping to grow HTAE’s provision with potential new partners and employers.”

Those interesting in attending can book a place at Eco Bricks – Demonstration and Training Tickets, Thursday 20 August  •  1 PM – 3 PM | Eventbrite or email [email protected].
