Helmsley and Mulgrave Properties partner on £2m York development
The developers are looking to upgrade the former Barleyfields sheltered housing scheme on Shipton Road in Clifton into 14 luxury homes.
Savills acted on behalf of the vendor, arriving at a final price of £2.25m.
The 1.3-acre site is one mile north of York city centre and comprises the afore-mentioned sheltered housing scheme and the adjacent Victorian villa, Ashbank, which will be restored.
The redundant Barleyfields flats will be turned into high-end homes, with formal design and planning work now underway.
