Now in its second year, the event was attended by Yorkshire’s finest mover and shakers from across the construction industry, including the likes of Henry Boot, Clarion, Caddick, Bruntwood, Civic Engineers, Muse, Harworth, GMI and more.
Held at the Armouries in Leeds, attendees were treated to an evening of relaxed networking against a backdrop of a three course dinner, drinks, dancing, and games.
In partnership with LandAid, the property industry charity that aims to end youth homelessness, the event brought together people from across the entire spectrum of the built environment, from architects, planners, engineers, and council members, right through to developers and real estate agents.
Sean O’Connor, commercial director at Place Yorkshire, kicked off proceedings, saying: “It’s fantastic to have so many of you here in Leeds tonight to toast the Yorkshire property sector and the inspiring work being done within it.
“I have recently joined Place Yorkshire, along with our new editor Sally Gibson, and we have thoroughly enjoyed becoming part of such a vibrant industry, meeting our partners face to face and seeing the projects coming together that will shape our cities and towns.
“This is our second Place Party Yorkshire and in true Place style there are no formalities, so just have fun! No long speeches or awards. Just live music, entertainment and an opportunity to let your hair down with colleagues and industry friends.
“We are very proud to have LandAid as our charity partner tonight and to support the fantastic work their team does to tackle youth homelessness.
“2025 marks a huge year for Place Yorkshire, with an increased programme of activity and events across all corners of the county. I look forward to seeing you throughout the year at our events and elsewhere.”
The next Place Yorkshire social event will be the Leeds Summer Social, or for those interested in the conferences we have on this year a full list can be found here. This includes the Yorkshire Emerging Development Hotspots conference in March, as well as dedicated regional Development Updates throughout the year – with events in Hull, Leeds, Sheffield, and York, focusing on activity in those specific areas.
Place Party Yorkshire was proud to be in association with LandAid. As well as raising funds on the night, we are pleased to remind you that the LandAid SleepOut will return to Leeds this February.
Last year, more than 1,300 property industry professionals braved the cold weather in support of ending youth homelessness.
