The inaugural contest for Yorkshire’s property players raised over £6,000 to combat youth homelessness and will hopefully become an annual event.

Held at Surge Padel in Harrogate, 60 people took part in the tournament.

Developer Eshton came away as winners, S&SA Architects were runners-up.

The event was sponsored by Proximity, Andrew Moseley Associates, Smart Investment & Management and CBRE. Place Yorkshire was the media partner.

Ed Hutchinson, managing director of HBD, said: “Huge thanks to all our sponsors who made the event possible and to everyone who took part. We raised over £6,000 for LandAid, supporting its mission to end youth homelessness, which is a brilliant result. We look forward to the next tournament, which I’ve no doubt will be even bigger – and no less competitive!”

LandAid’s next event is the second ‘Proper-Tea’ at Green Room in Leeds on 10 October – the perks of a gala dinner and none of the fuss. There are expected to be 250 property industry professionals coming together at Proper-Tea to tackle youth homelessness.
