Footasylum steps up at Trinity Leeds
The sportswear retailer is set to open a flagship 12,000 sq ft store at Landsec’s 1m sq ft shopping centre in spring.
Footasylum will incorporate digital technology to improve customers’ shopping experience, connecting its online and in-store offering and using mobile payment points throughout the shop.
This is designed to reduce queues, and provide a streamlined in-store experience.
Located opposite Mango, the store will feature menswear, womenswear, and children’s clothes, footwear, and accessories from brands such as Adidas, New Balance, and Under Armour, as well as Footasylum’s exclusive labels such as Monterrain, Forena, and Alpyrex.
The announcement of the new flagship store at Trinity Leeds comes amid a period of record sales growth and is part of the brand’s expansion programme.
Last year, Footasylum launched a pop-up store at Trinity Leeds, before deciding to commit more permanently to the location.
Trinity is home to more than 100 brand and 40 restaurants, and is owned and operated by Landsec.
Steven Foster, centre director at Trinity Leeds, said: “At Trinity Leeds, we’re committed to curating a diverse and compelling brand mix, and we’re pleased that Footasylum has chosen the centre for its new flagship store.
“The launch further enhances our strong sports and footwear offering – alongside brands such as Nike, Clarks, Office, and Skechers – and reflects our ongoing commitment to introducing premium, in-demand brands.”
Shannon Osman, head of retail at Footasylum commented: “We are thrilled to announce that Footasylum will soon be opening a new flagship store at Leeds Trinity, marking our return to the city.
“Leeds has always been a key destination for us and we’re excited to bring our latest products and exclusive drops to this vibrant city.
“Our new flagship will provide an immersive and modern retail experience, designed to celebrate our community and our customers.”
