Dacre, Son & Hartley acquires Lister Haigh
In North Yorkshire focused news, the Ilkley-headquartered real estate agency has bought the Knaresborough-based rural property consultancy firm.
Lister Haigh has an annual turnover of £500,000 and was founded in 1919 by Oswald Lister and started out as agricultural auctioneers and valuers.
John Haigh joined the business in 1990 and the company was incorporated in 2002 alongside the acquisition of James Johnston Boroughbridge, which saw Catherine Johnston joining as a director.
Giles Chaplin then became director in 2011 and all three will remain with the firm.
One of Yorkshire’s largest independent real estate agencies, Dacre, Son & Hartley was founded more than 200 years ago and has 18 offices across North and West Yorkshire.
