Cavendish opens Leeds office
The consultancy has moved in to Wellington Place, its 12th office in the UK and Ireland, as it looks to increase its presence in Yorkshire.
Recent projects in the region include securing approval for BAM’s 12-storey Latitude Yellow in Leeds and supporting projects for National Grid, RWE, Calderdale Wind Farm Limited and McCarthy Stone.
Specialising in planning, energy, media comms, and infrastructure, key members of the Leeds team include Keane Duncan, who joined Cavendish in January as associate director (planning), and Olivia White, director (energy and infrastructure).
Keane combines experience from the worlds of politics and journalism, having worked as a councillor at North Yorkshire Council for eight years and in editor-level positions at Reach Media.
Olivia specialises in energy and infrastructure, particularly in nationally significant infrastructure projects. She is currently working in the region on solar, carbon capture, electricity distribution and highways projects.
Keane said: “We know this region’s bold ambitions and immense potential, and with our strengthened offer we’re ready to pursue new opportunities here and achieve even more.”
Olivia said: “From the challenge of decarbonising the industry-rich area to providing much needed new public transport links, Yorkshire and the North East is at the forefront of energy and infrastructure investment.
“Whilst a significant economic opportunity, developers need to understand the nuances of the local communities they are working in.”
