Carter Towler makes Apsley House move

Following its 75th anniversary last year, the surveying firm has relocated its Leeds head office to 5,650 sq ft at the junction of Queen Street and Wellington Street.

The company has secured a five-year lease on the ground floor of the 1903-built four-storey office building, close to City Square and Leeds station.

Managing director Ian Greenwood said: “We are proud of the fact that we have over seven decades of business under our belts but know only too well that we must continue to evolve to succeed.

“This is a pivotal step in our future development. It is all about providing the best possible environment for our staff to thrive in, and our clients to visit.

“Although Apsley House is a charming historic building we wanted to create a highly contemporary workspace, and thanks to the expertise of our fitout partners, Building Interiors, I think we have achieved that.

“This relocation endorses the positivity we have for the future growth of Carter Towler.”

Local property company J Pullan & Sons is the firm’s new landlord.

Carter Towler employs 58 staff and in addition to its head office in Leeds, it has offices in Durham and York, where it opened last year.

Carter Towler’s property management department manages more than 5,000 properties nationwide, while the building services consultancy has managed projects valuing £1.4m since the start of the year.

The valuation department has undertaken 300+ valuations in the last 12 months, some of which have total asset values in excess of £10m.

Director Matt Faulkes concluded: “The move has brought an added energy across the whole of the business, and it has been an absolute pleasure working with Pullans our new landlords – who also happen to be longstanding clients – on finalising the details of the new lease. We hope this new dimension to our working relationship will prove to be a resounding success for us all!”
