Carter Towler acquires AWS’s property management team
The Leeds-based consultancy is looking to strengthen its services offering with the deal, which sees director Rob Wright and four members of his team join the firm.
Looking to bolster the firm’s management capability in the North, Carter Towler’s property management department now has 35 surveyors, compliance, accounting, and support staff overseeing more than 6,500 tenancies throughout the UK.
Services provided include strategic asset management, lease management, tenant liaison, rent and service charge collection, service charge auditing and administration, maintenance and refurbishment, contractor supervision, energy and insurance procurement, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
The team will be based in the 5,650 sq ft Wellington Street office, which Carter Towler relocated to last year.
Carter Towler director Matt Faulkes said: “We’ve worked alongside AWS for many years and have always held their team in high regard.
“They have built a strong reputation across the region, and there is a clear alignment in our approach to client services and portfolio management. This integration significantly enhances our capacity and capabilities.”
Rob Wright commented: “Carter Towler has one of the leading independent property management operations outside of London, and we’re excited to contribute to the next phase of its growth.
“We will continue to work closely with AWS co-founder Nick Arundel to ensure continuity for long-standing agency client relationships.”
Managing director Ian Greenwood added: “This acquisition reflects our ongoing investment in expanding our core services and providing the highest standards of property management.
“It also underlines our commitment to sustainable growth and client service excellence.”
