British Land secures 60,000 sq ft of signings at Meadowhall

A mix of new and renewed leases has bolstered the F&B and leisure offering at Sheffield’s largest shopping centre, with seven companies committing themselves.

Vue has renewed its lease on its 43,000 sq ft cinema, which is currently undergoing refurbishment works on the concourse and foyer areas.

Wingstop is continuing its expansion across the country and has taken a 4,500 sq ft unit on the Lower Level Oasis, marking its first South Yorkshire site.

Also making its regional debut at Meadowhall is Japanese restaurant concept Maki & Ramen, which is set to take a 1,850 sq ft space on Upper Level Oasis.

Meanwhile, independent speciality coffee company Bean is investing in two separate spaces at Meadowhall, signing for a permanent 60-seat central mall unit at the entrance to Lower Level Oasis, alongside a pop-up on the centre’s Upper Level High Street.

Local F&B operator Suburb has signed for a 2,800 sq ft unit on the Upper Level Oasis, and Yorkshire-inspired eatery Harriet’s has taken a 2,400 sq ft kiosk in front of the Frasers department store.

Finally, long-term tenant Frankie & Benny’s has also recommitted to Meadowhall, with a deal that will include a refit of its 4,200 sq ft restaurant on Upper Level Oasis.
