Avant plans for 300 homes in Thurnscoe

The housebuilder has applied to Barnsley Council for permission to build the £70m scheme in the South Yorkshire village.

If permitted, work could start in May on the land off Thurnscoe Bridge Lane.

The development would have a mix of two-, three-, and four-bed homes.

Richard Hosie, managing director of Avant Homes West Yorkshire, said: “Our proposed development in Thurnscoe represents an opportunity to provide practically designed, energy efficient homes ideal for a range of buyers.

“We look forward to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council considering our plans to build a new and thriving community in Thurnscoe.”
