Avant and JRHT partner on 69 affordable homes
The homes will be built at Avant Homes’ sites in Greensward Point, Easingwold, and Greenlock Place, Leeds.
Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust will offer the homes to residents via social rent or a shared ownership programme.
The social housing and care provider in Yorkshire and the North East is committed to providing 1,000 affordable homes in the area by 2029.
At Greensward Point, Easingwold, the development will include two and three bedroom detached and semi-detached properties.
The first 12 homes have been handed over to JRHT, with the remaining 22 homes to be completed by summer 2025.
At Greenlock Place, Leeds, Avant will offer one- and two-bedrooms flats, as well as two and three bedroom semi-detached properties, expected to be delivered by summer 2025.
Phil Lacey, group head of affordable housing delivery at Avant, said: “Both [developments] are popular places to live, and our energy efficient properties provide the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust with a range of new affordable homes that give more people the opportunity to live within new and already thriving communities.”
