Family days out in Yorkshire are set for a boost, as the historic estate submits plans for an enclosure at its zoo.
The outline application from Leeds City Council proposes a single-storey structure within an existing enclosed area of the zoo to provide operational facilities for the new lemur habitat.
Measuring 12 metres by 4.5 metres and standing 3.5 metres high, the building has been designed to sit discreetly within the zoo’s existing grounds.
The proposal is intended to support the day-to-day running of the zoo as it prepares to welcome its tree-hopping furry friends.
Already home to penguins, capybaras, and wallabys among others, this editor in particular cannot wait for the new residents to move in.
