£750,000 refurb completes at Leeds Bradford Airport Industrial Estate
The upgraded 90,000 sq ft Unit 9 delivered by CDT Commercial is now on the market, with Carter Towler and Knight Frank appointed as agents.
Silverstone was the consultant on the project, and project managed a comprehensive works programme that has transformed the high-bay unit into a modern, efficient and flexible facility to attract a new occupier.
Work included improvements to the efficiency and versatility of the unit, an upgrade of the office accommodation, the installation of LED lighting, and resurfacing of the yard to improve traffic flow.
Leeds Bradford Airport Industrial Estate comprises 1.25m sq ft across 60 acres, and was acquired by Leopard Capital UK for £25m in 2024, marking the London-based investment management and advisory firm’s entry into the Yorkshire market.
The estate has 16 units ranging from approximately 20,000 sq ft to 150,000 sq ft, with direct access to the A658 Harrogate Road.
Occupiers include APCOA, VPK Packaging, Jet2, VLT Logistics, Rarter Bond, and Sigma Retail Solutions.
Hazel Cooper, associate at Carter Towler, said: “The completed refurbishment has transformed the space, creating a very affordable, high-bay facility that would be ideal for logistics, manufacturing or warehousing occupiers seeking well-located accommodation with the added benefit of flexible lease options.”
Iain McPhail, associate at Knight Frank, added: “This is a strategically positioned site adjacent to Leeds Bradford International Airport, offering excellent connectivity across the region and beyond.
“The estate also benefits from a rich industrial heritage, having played an important role in supporting Britain’s aviation and military capabilities during the Second World War.
“That legacy, combined with ongoing investment and its prime location, makes this a highly attractive opportunity for occupiers.”
